Solitude and the World

Introvert by nature, a silent observer,
yet sometimes, I venture forth,
stepping out to sow seeds of kindness,
to bloom smiles, share unspoken joys
in the busy world beyond.

In this quiet corner of my solitude,
where time fills me ample and serene,
rests an untouched piano -
ivory keys covered in dust,
echoing silent songs of life,
a silent testament to thoughts unvoiced,
to melodies of the heart yet to play.

But as the air turns heavy,
laden with the weight of these silent notes,
and the comforting embrace grows dense
with unspoken words and longing,
I find myself needing
the hearth of known comforts,
the home’s familiar embrace.

There, in that safe space,
where love and joy persist,
unasked yet ever-present,
a constant in the gentle hum
of my own rhythm,
I find peace,
whether I’m looking for it or not.

Like the faithful glow of a lighthouse,
home guides me back to shore,
a beacon in the flux
of my welcomed solitude
and the outside world calling me.
