Three Short Poems
Children’s laughter floats
On summer’s gentle breeze — pause
Hold this moment close.
Life finds its rhythm,
A new soul stirs as flowers bloom —
Worlds large and small shift.
Time’s flow softens, slows —
Before the next moment,
Breathe in. Now begin.
—
We breathe as one,
Green hills stand quiet —
Soft twilight envelops us.
Shadows creep, but cannot reach
The fortress of our tangled limbs;
Hushed vows float in the air.
Stars mark the velvet sky,
A crescent moon watches over —
Beauty blooms in deepening night.
—
Wind whispers secrets,
Through emerald summer leaves —
Nature’s soft laughter.
Hummingbirds dance to unheard rhythms,
Mysterious creatures weave unseen below;
Life pulses in every corner.
Heavens flow, timeless —
Reflecting sky’s vast expanse.
We float, momentary.
